Meridian IQ acquires UK operations of GPS Logistics OVERLAND PARK, KS, February 5, 2004 - Meridian IQ, the transportation management solutions subsidiary of Yellow Roadway Corporation (NASDAQ: YELL), today announced that it has further strengthened the position of Yellow Roadway as a global transportation provider through the exercise of its option to acquire the UK operations of global logistics service provider GPS Logistics. GPS Logistics, based in Hong Kong, has operated as a full-service air and ocean freight forwarder in the UK providing broad coverage and in-depth transportation and supply chain management services to its customers. In August 2003, Yellow Global, part of Meridian IQ, acquired the US assets of GPS Logistics. That acquisition enabled Yellow Global, now called Yellow GPS, to leverage the combined resources of both companies, expertise and market coverage to serve customers more effectively with the latest technology and on a broader scale. The transaction closed effective January 31, 2004.
